I’m a warm, caring, and dedicated Senior Clinical Psychologist and CBT Therapist, and passionate about providing the highest quality of care. I have over 10 years experience working in the NHS.
I am a Visiting Lecturer and an Associate Fellow of The Higher Education Academy. I lecture on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme at University of Hertfordshire and teach on the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and child module. I am also an interviewer for the selection intake of Doctoral students for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme at University of Hertfordshire. In addition, I am a Visiting Lecturer on the undergraduate psychology degree at UCL and provide teaching for the third year psychology students.
After completing an Honours psychology degree at University of Sussex I gained two Postgraduate degrees, one in Mental Health Studies from the University of Hertfordshire, and the other in Evidence-Based Psychological Therapies from the University of Reading. I then spent years working in the NHS with adults, couples, and groups providing CBT in GP surgeries.
I completed the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire. My specialist placement was working with children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at The Tavistock.
In the latter years, I specialised working with children, adolescents, and families when I worked in NHS Tier 3 Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) teams. I am skilled in providing consultation and training to different professionals such as schools, Social Services, Paediatricians, GPs, and care homes.
I have completed British Psychological Society (BPS) approved supervision training and have been appointed as a clinical supervisor to different disciplines.
REGISTRATIONS & ACCREDITATIONS
All Clinical Psychologists, including myself are registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) (PYL32454). The HCPC ensure that only clinicians with accredited qualifications and who meet the required standards for proficiency and professional conduct can practice using the title ‘Psychologist.’
The BPS is the professional body that oversees the work of qualified Psychologists and provides benchmarks for professional standards of psychological knowledge and expertise. I hold Chartership with the BPS (404722). BPS Chartership is a mark of experience, competence and reputation for anyone looking to employ a private Psychologist.
I am also fully accredited with British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), the UK's leading organization for CBT (090129).
I am enhanced DBS checked and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, in order to maintain data confidentiality.
